I love finding hidden gems for local food. I was intrigued by this place which opens only on Sunday for 45 years serving one dish : Mondongo, aka menudo or pancita. It is a stew made of beef tripes. Not for everyone. This one is certainly one of the best I have had! The hidden garden at the end of the narrow passage opens to a parallel dimension in the heart of a touristy area of Tulum. I feels like traveling back into the past when Tulum was a village where people took the time to chat and check in with each other. I could feel the love and the care in my bowl. Gracias!
