I felt so lucky to find this spot on a recent visit to Japan. We had an hour layover between trains and this gem of a restaurant was a quick and easy walk from the station. Castagna is on a quiet block in an unassuming building and the food is delicious! Prepared with love, the both of the daily entrees were made with the freshest ingredients, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The proportions were just right and the presentation was lovely. The ambiance is an understated combination of new and old, with mismatched chairs, long family style tables, a long bar and open kitchen. The chef owner the only one working and he was attentive and caring. Castagna is a truly memorable dining experience. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
