My lunch was "slamming" (awesome)!. I had some country style steak today that was "on the money" (just right)! It wasn't the ground up kind, it was a real piece of steak swimming in brown gravy! And I had some black-eyed peas mixed with corn that was so delicious! As usual I sat with a friend in their cozy pink dining room (and watched the NFL commissioner on television making his speech today).

Their portions are so generous I usually save some for a later meal but the steak and peas didn't make it past lunch today. I couldn't get it off my mind so I called them right at closing to see if I could get another plate for tomorrow, but Diane, in her pleasant way, informed me they had sold out of those two items.

It's fun to go see what items are going to appear on the hot bar daily (and they cook to order too).
