Great little place to grab a sandwich or some deli items. Ordered a sandwich to go and they prepared and bagged it up in very little time. Very nice selection of items at the deli and friendly staff. The cashier lady told me about a great place to sit outside and enjoy my sandwich.

I got the French Toasted Turkey Club, my wife got the Leonard Da Vinci, and my kid got the Bagel Dog. All of these items were SO good. It’s a big menu, so there’s certainly something for everyone. We had a really hard time deciding on something because it all sounded so so good. Can’t wait to get back there again to try something else!

I grew up in the Twin Cities and had heard about Cecils when I was a teenager. Living in Minneapolis I mostly went to the Lincoln Dell, and thought of Cecils as competition. Now, after all these years, my husband, and I finally went to Cecil's. It's kind of funny because it was always in the back of my mind, and because we were in Saint Paul, I just rattled off let's go to Cecil's. It was really fun to revisit an old fashion delicatessen. My husband and I shared a roasted turkey sandwich with sweet-and-sour slaw. We actually put our sweet-and-sour slaw on the sandwich, and it tasted like a New York deli sandwich. The people couldn't be any more friendly and the guy behind the bakery counter was quite the Mensch.  Cookies for $1.25 are a pretty good deal. We also ordered french fries which were average but good. I'm giving it five stars because it's an institution that's lasted half a century or more and the food is quite good.
