After seeing St. Andrew's Cathedral, it may be a good idea to visit this restaurant. At Cedric's, pay attention to perfectly cooked crabs, mushrooms and mushroom risotto. Do not go away without eating good cheesecakes, croissants and fruitcake. Delicious matcha is among the most popular drinks at this place.

Been here a few times as the menu changes occasionally. Quality has been consistently good. The octopus was cooked to perfection. This place does not take reservation so be sure to go early to get a seat as there is usually a queue for both lunch and dinner. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: A$20–40

Good vibes but mostly stools so prepared to be a little uncomfortable if you plan to stay a while. We got there around 6:40 on a Friday and had a 1 hour wait for a table for 2, no reservations so keep that in mind. The service is great and the staff are very friendly/know when to jump in and give service. We ordered the octopus, pasta, and steak with fries. While all were good, the pasta was the stand out dish for us. For two people we were still a little hungry after this so a fourth dish is probably recommended, but the menu is very meat heavy and we didn't want to order another meat dish. Would go back to try the 1kg steak though!

I recently had the opportunity to visit the city for some shopping and stopped into Cedrics for a quick bite. I ordered the chicken with curry yoghurt sauce or some such concoction noticed it was a little pinkish, my partner made the observation that maybe I should send it back but alas I began eating enough of the cooked portion of it, that by that stage I'd probably end up regretting. Regret I did, that evening I became violently ill with what I think was bacteria poisoning such as salmonella or campylobacter. A salient lesson was learnt, never dine at Cedrics again and furthermore they should consider themselves lucky I didn't report them to the NSW HD.
