Well here we are again for our annual Center Parcs visit. Upon arrival the staff member who met us at the gate was amazing. Very friendly and had us in fits of laughter. Great start to the trip. We had lunch at cafe rouge and again the staff were fantastic! The food was lovely too. Will definitely be going back there during our stay. Center Parcs sherwood is a very established village. Some areas do look a bit dated but overall it is an exceptional park that is very well maintained, clean and pleasant. We have only stayed in the new executive style 1 bed chalets which have always been spotless and very highly equipped. This time around we opted for a 2 storey executive property close to the spa. There is plenty of room, and being able to park the car in-front of the chalet and leave it there was a bonus which we will definitely appreciate on Friday when the roads throughout the park get jammed with people leaving. The water park at sherwood is another great place to spend a few hours. It does get very busy and noisy when the kids are in there but a tip is to get in there early on your arrival (we got there about 4pm) and it was very quiet. The outdoor Rapids is fantastic! Although can sometimes leave you bashed and bruised! The spa is another great addition to the park although it is expensive for treatments, but then again I've never found a spa that isn't. We would recommend booking one of the 3 hour slots and have a much deserved chill out time. Sherwood pines cycling park is nearby, within cycling distance from Center Parcs and again we would recommend a visit to this. Great fun for all the family with loads of different routes for all levels of cyclists. The only downside of Center Parcs is the price. It's costs money, and lots of, to do anything here but that is really the only negative thing we can think of. I've heard that some of the older accommodation is getting tired but having never stayed in any of those we cannot comment. Will we come here again? Definitely! we love the place!!!
