I rarely find myself leaving a review, but my experience tonight had me typing this the moment I returned to my hotel. The food and cocktails were outstanding, but what truly made the night memorable was the hospitality from Beverage Director Kevin and Lead Bartender Austin. Kevin took the time to talk with me about his career path to Cento and the thought and passion behind the beverage program. His knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for what he does really came through, and I loved getting the opportunity to learn more about the program he’s built. Austin took care of me throughout dinner and was phenomenal. I cannot remember the last time I received such wonderful service. He gave me an incredible tour of the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made the entire experience so much fun. He brought enthusiasm and great vibes to everyone who sat down at the bar. He has exactly the personality, energy, and knowledge that make sitting at the bar the best seat in the house. Incredible food, beautifully executed cocktails, and even better hospitality. The place has gorgeous tall ceilings but unfortunately it causes it to be very loud in there. I had to lean in closely to my partner to hear our conversation. We ordered desserts and truthfully, my chocolate cake thing was very dry and didn’t have a strong cocoa taste. It’s meant to be served with a caramel sauce (on top?) that I asked for on the side and with small dips of caramel, the texture was ok but the portion was very small for $13. Would not return for desserts there. The tiramisu was served in a cute small cup, my partner said it was delicious but again it was $13-14 for a small cup of dessert.
