If you’re looking for a great sandwich in Milan, Cesarino is absolutely worth a stop. I arrived right after they opened, so it wasn’t busy yet, but you can tell this place is going to fill up quickly around lunchtime. I’d expect it to be packed from about 12:30 p.m. onward. I ordered the No. 23, which features Finocchiona salami, grilled eggplant, and caciocavallo cheese, along with a can of Coke. The total came to about €11, which I thought was an excellent value considering the quality and size of the sandwich. Everything about the panini was excellent. The bread was perfectly toasted, crunchy on the outside while staying soft and moist on the inside. The salami was sliced paper thin and packed with flavor, and all of the ingredients worked together beautifully. It was one of those sandwiches that just kept getting better with every bite. The shop itself is clean and has a comfortable, air-conditioned seating area, which was a welcome escape from the Milan summer heat. The staff worked quickly, and even though it was quiet during my visit, you could tell they know how to keep things moving. Overall, Cesarino delivers outstanding quality at a very reasonable price. Great ingredients, excellent bread, generous portions, and a comfortable place to enjoy your meal. I’d definitely come back, and if you’re in the Corso Como area, I highly recommend giving it a try.
