One of the best places to eat in Kyoto. The owner was very friendly and everyone treated us excellently. They have English menu and you can order for take out too. Be patient if you don't know any Japanese. The food was great, Homemade, fresh and delicious. We came back after one night and the experience was even better. We totally recommend it and I'm sure that I will be back in my next visit. Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A true hidden gem in Kyoto! We stumbled upon this small restaurant tucked away in a side street. At first, it looked like there was no space left, but the guests kindly moved together so we could have a table. The food was simply the best and most authentic we had on our entire trip. Everything was freshly cooked just a meter away from us by the owner herself – honest, flavorful, and unforgettable. We later learned it was actually a holiday, and all the other guests were family and friends of the owner. Without knowing, we had joined a family celebration – and yet everyone welcomed us with incredible warmth and kindness. This place is all about genuine hospitality and outstanding home-cooked food.
