I go to thai restaurants and eat fried rice because I'm very basic. This was the best fried rice I've ever had. It elevated chicken fried rice to an art form.

A very homey warm place to be. Came here two months back. And the food was great but the woman here eh had an attitude. Today is the first day of new ownership, Jim was amazing. Took the time to ask me and my spouse our names. Was more than accommodating to my requests. Only problem was he made me laugh so hard I scratched my mouth with my satay skewer haha! Kinda and involved owner, amazing tasting food, and affordable prices? Finally found my go to Thai place in sac. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Best Drunken Noodles w/Prawns In Sacramento yelp.com/biz_photos/chad… SITREP My dear friend has decided that Chada Thai Cuisine ("Chada") is the BEST traditional Thai Cuisine restaurant in Sacramento and I have to agree. yelp.com/biz_photos/chad… Yes, I've been to Orchid Thai ("Orchid") and THAI-The House of Authentic Ingredients ("THAI").  But I've noticed more "fusion"-Thai-takes on their cuisine where they take more liberal culinary liberties.   I have to volunteer that I actually adore both of these places different reasons:  Orchid for happy hours; and THAI for more enjoyable fine dining, and that won't stop (so don't tell Bambi!). THE SETUP But when it comes to traditional Thai dining dishes & flavors, I am in agreement with Bambi that nothing compares to Chada. I will say that my preferences flow strongly to the noodle, rice and soup dishes.  So if someone is focused on the meat dishes, I can't help them there. LE MENU The dishes we enjoy: * The Drunken Noodles w/Prawns is perfectly seasoned with spices (I would rate it on a mild-medium scale of spiciness, closer to medium) and I don't even have to tell the hostess at what level of spiciness I want it - this is their default-level. yelp.com/biz_photos/chad…   The dish is well-balanced between the noodles, the veggies, and the prawns, and in a substantial portion - and this was even their LUNCH-dish size for $10.95.  Very delicious and very filling. * The Salad Fresca (their complimentary house salad) is the perfect way to spritz up your taste buds with fragrant flavors (as if to cleanse your palate to prepare them for the onslaught of rich Thai flavors coming your way. yelp.com/biz_photos/chad… * Spring Rolls w/Tofu is a delicious appetizer in and of itself, but more importantly, it's one of the items on the menu that also garners a wonderful side of Peanut Sauce!  [You ever notice whatever Thai restaurant you are at they guard any release of peanut sauce with a security-level on par with Fort Knox?] yelp.com/biz_photos/chad… * The Yello Curry is a terrific path to culinary delight that Bambi chose.  In sharing our dishes, she prefers her spice level to Mild (or even non-existant) - but this mild Yellow curry (w/ Chicken which she preferred over tofu or shrimp) still had a rich, potent spicy flavor even if the *heat* was not there. * Tom Kha (Spicy Coconut Milk Soup) w/ sticky rice is my personal litmus test for any Thai restaurant.  I got a large Tom Kha Soup "to-go" so I could enjoy later in the weekend.  [In fact, I am reminded to download the pics and write this review as I am enjoying the soup right now!].  But most times we enjoy our Tom Kha in-restaurant, and they have a pretty cool silver serving dish! yelp.com/biz_photos/chad…  As with the Tom Kha, I also have signature dishes upon which I base my  rating of an establishment.  Like with Tom Kha for Thai or a Cheese Enchilada & Chili Relleno combo for Mexican, I like consistency and minimum levels of quality for any restaurant. yelp.com/biz_photos/chad… THE LOWDOWN Chada Thai Cuisine has good game when it comes to MY favorite Thai dishes.
