Seeing Longleat House requires time and efforts, so if you feel hungry after, come to this cafe for a good meal. It's a pleasant experience to eat good brisket and nicely cooked hot sandwiches. According to the visitors' opinions, waiters offer delicious coffee or great hot chocolate.

The terrific staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Guests say that the service is enjoyable here. You are to be pleasantly impressed with adequate prices at The Chameleon Tree. The atmosphere of this place is spectacular. But google users rated this place and it didn't gain a high rating.

We popped into the Chameleon Tree for a drink and to get the grandchildren some lunch. The food is pretty good and although the adults didn’t have a meal it looked fresh and tasty. The grandsons had the chicken fillets which looked homemade and the chips were good. The kids meals are £8.95 so not a bad price, you get a free fruit shoot in that price. Teas and coffees were ok, my only issue is I can’t have dairy and they don’t offer any alternatives so I had to go for a black coffee. Would be great if they could offer a dairy free option. Now the downside, I know the restaurant does get very busy but the place was absolutely filthy, the tables were piled up with rubbish and leftover food, even the table we chose had a tray of empties on and hadn’t been wiped down. There were bit of leftover food and drink spills on it. It looked like their monkey troop had escaped their enclosure and been let loose. It definitely needs a dedicated member of staff to go round and clear up constantly. With so many sick bugs and colds around at the moment cleanliness is imperative. Running a food business myself I know the importance of hygiene and I would say that the restaurant is seriously lacking in that. I just hope their kitchens are a higher standard than the restaurant. Poor customer service - employees rolled their eyes and were visibly rude when we asked for our food.
Poor pricing - food is extremely overpriced. £11.50 for a small portion of chips, lukewarm peas and half a bit of fish.
Our ‘fizzy’ drinks were flat.
Poor experience during our day at longleat
