I visited on a weekday evening without a reservation. We were seated in a traditional Japanese-style tatami area where you have to take off your shoes. Since there wasn't much legroom, I’d highly recommend booking a table seat instead. Regarding the food, if you order Chanko Nabe, each person is required to order their own portion. While we enjoyed the variety of ingredients, the broth itself was a bit bland and lacked a strong flavor. However, it was still a satisfying amount of food. We visited Chanko Dojo to try Rikishi Chanko Nabe. It did not disappoint. The man and woman running the restaurant were very kind to us as I did my best to speak Japanese (I’m not fluent and still learning). The Chanko nabe was incredible! We enjoyed the entire experience. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000
