Low quality food that’s not worth the price. The steaks are very tough and chewy, I would avoid. The cocktails tasted good and would have paired nicely if the food was decent. I get trying to comfort someone on what they ordered but doing it 4-5 times makes it feel like we don’t know what we’re talking about. We’ve been to a lot of nicer places to know when something’s wrong. Just own up to it. So this was my first time at Char Steak & Lounge. I visited with a group. We had drinks up stairs on the ninth floor. Great view of Rochester from the bar area. Drinks are Awesome had an Old fashion, it was really good. Moved to our private table in a conference room, it was really nice . Ordered appetizers. The GRAND PLATEAU 4 oysters, 4 colossal shrimp, split lobster tail, 4 0z. tuna tartare, lobster toast mignonette, tabasco, cocktail sauce and. Fried CALAMARI marinara, breaded ciliegini. I ordered the 8 FILET MIGNON with 'AU POIVRE peppercorn brandy sauce with a baked potato. The most interesting thing was we enjoyed some Turtle, it was delicious and I would recommend trying it. The drinks were on point. The food is great. The service we received was awesome.
