Here, you can find the recipes and ingredients of the Indian cuisine. Come to this restaurant for a break and taste nicely cooked naan, chicken tikka and samosas. The truth is that you will really enjoy good yogurt. Mango lassi is great at Chatpatay.

This place is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. You will pay adequate prices for dishes. It's a nice place with the lovely atmosphere. On Facebook, this spot has a lot of user reviews and a 5 star rating, which means the place is highly popular and worth visiting.

Let me begin by saying that we have been eating at the " old" Chatpatay for around 5 years and USED to absolutely love their food.  To my utter shock, this the management had changed this summer. They have RUINED everything that was good about the place including the service.   We ate from the the restaurant twice after the new management ( one takeout and one dine in).  In the take-out, the food was of horrible in taste they had ruined the their signature dishes. But, to add to my misery there was chicken ( 1cm cube) in my vegetarian Aloo Gobi ( we are strict vegetarians).  I called the restaurant and the owner was unapologetic and was sure that I was mistaken.   Just for old times sake we decide to dine-in this weekend. We ordered papdi Chaat, chole puri, aloo gobi and tadka dal.     Papdi chaat was poorly made.  Chole poori was too spicy and oily - not good. The gobi in the Aloo Gobi was RAW, literally uncooked.  The tadka dal had NO tadka - it was just boiled dal with salt. The owner's son was the server and he was so rude not just to us but several other customers.  Two customers walked out without eating in front of us.   THE PLACE IS EXPENSIVE AND THE FOOD AND SERVICE ARE HORRIBLE.  AVOID!! Can someone tell me if the old chef and management are opening a restaurant somewhere?

This is a Door Dash specific review. There are a lot of solid Indian restaurants in Charlotte, but this place somehow is able to deliver food that is just as good as if you ordered it in the restaurant. The chicken mehti was something I've never had before and it blew me away. Usually I suspect that because folks tend to complain about spice, Indian/Thai/etc spots tone down their meals but the tandoori chicken had the perfect amount of spice. It was honestly excellent. Finally, the most difficult part of a delivery experience is bread that isn't soggy. I'm assuming they cook the bread extremely fresh because thats the only way it could get delivered 20 mins away and still be fresh but it definitely was. I could more of the garlic naan from this place than Joey Chestnut, I'm fairly certain, its that good. Can't wait til covid is over and I can dine in.

I don't normally leave reviews but this place hit the nail on the head.  This is the best Indian food we have had since moving to Charlotte from Maryland.  Tons of options and delicious food. Love the multiple GF options.
