Fries were hot. Drive-thru was busy. Manager on duty, at the window, was rushing me through trying to give me my total when I was not finished ordering. The funnel cake fries were tough as hell like rubber. There was barely any powdered sugar on them also. Burgers were good though ‍. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: $20–30

After a long day, my wife and I stopped by this Checkers expecting a quick, inexpensive dinner. Instead, it became one of the most disappointing fast-food experiences we’ve had in quite some time. The first red flag came at the drive-thru. We had to repeat our order three different times over the intercom. Looking back, that should have been a sign of what was to come. What makes the experience even more frustrating is that we were the only car in line. The restaurant wasn’t busy, so it’s difficult to understand how our order was still prepared incorrectly. We both ordered the Unbeatable Meal Deal with a Spicy Chicken Sandwich, medium fries, chicken bites, and Coke Zeros with no ice. Before pulling away, we checked the bag to make sure everything was there. Unfortunately, we didn’t unwrap the sandwiches. It wasn’t until we returned to our hotel that we discovered one meal had a Spicy Chicken Sandwich while the other had been replaced with a hamburger. At that point, it simply wasn’t worth driving back. The food itself didn’t help matters. Everything was lukewarm at best. The one Spicy Chicken Sandwich we did receive was missing lettuce and had barely enough mayonnaise to notice. The chicken bites came without any dipping sauce, and when we asked about it, we were told sauce would cost extra. Ironically, the best part of the meal was our Coke Zeros. Pros * Cold Coke Zeros * Signature seasoned fries still had good flavor Cons * Had to repeat our order three times * Wrong sandwich despite a simple order * Only car in the drive-thru, yet the order was still incorrect * Food served lukewarm * Spicy chicken sandwich missing lettuce and barely any mayonnaise * No complimentary dipping sauce with the chicken bites * Overall poor quality and execution Mistakes happen, but this visit was disappointing from beginning to end. When you’re the only customer in the drive-thru, there’s little excuse for getting a simple two-meal order wrong. Add in lukewarm food and missing ingredients, and this location simply missed the mark. My recommendation: skip this Checkers. If you’re craving the brand’s flavors, you’re honestly better off picking up a bag of Checkers/Rally’s seasoned fries and frozen chicken patties from the grocery store. You’ll likely end up with a hotter and more satisfying meal than we did. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–10
