TLDR: I’m down $90, I have no cake for my partner’s birthday, and this bakery did not in fact “Cheer Me Up”. I placed an order on their website at 1:30pm on Thursday (July 4) for one of the cakes listed on their website. I left in the note orders where they request any additional info to which I said they could make a similar cake to what they posted on their website, knowing that it is a bit of a tight turnaround since I would need it for Sunday (July 7) so I didn’t ask for any customizations. I saw that per their hours listed on their website, that they aren’t open Sunday, so I asked within the notes if it would be possible to pick up for Saturday (July 6). This seemed to line up fine because on their website they note cakes can be done within 48 hours so I just wanted to make sure it could be done otherwise they could cancel because the birthday occasion is on the 7th. I didn’t receive anything other than an order confirmation. No communication that they wouldn’t be able to. I tried calling them the day of, earlier in the morning and it immediately just goes to some automated message (not a busy line, not a voicemail, just instantly “call cannot be completed at this time”). I go to the location itself which says on their website and Google that they are open till 3. To my surprise, lights are completely out and it’s 2:30 because I wanted to give as much as time as possible without making them feel rushed. I sent a message over google saying that I’m here, no reply but my message was “read” (very quickly too, within 3 minutes). I would be more than understanding if my order was cancelled if the turnaround time was too quick, even though the website makes it seem like it’s possible, but the lack of any type of communication (impossible trying to call) makes this experience extremely frustrating and disappointing. Even a call or email or SOME type of communication to tell me that it wouldn’t be available until X date if they won’t allow for cancelling would be better than the absolute nothing I’m getting. There’s also a Google number that shows on here that I also tried calling and someone picked up and they were not the bakery, so not sure whose random phone number is put on here. I have tried calling again (same automated message) and emailing, requesting for a refund to no avail, so to me I’ve been robbed $90 as I didn’t get literally ANYTHING. 0 stars if I could.

Extremely bad service! I ordered a cake for my family 4 days in advance, apparently the order got cancelled and no notice what so ever. I’m waiting for the cake to arrive and the owner tells me it’s been cancelled the cake is not ready and no apology. Very rude and unprofessional. This was for a special occasion and this bad service negatively affected the surprise and reunion. Extremely disappointing. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We are sorry if it was a genuine order, however we cannot afford sending cakes and not getting paid for them, which happens with such orders. More
