ChefCheer has definitely become one of my favourite Iraqi restaurants. The food was very delicious, beautifully presented, and full of authentic Iraqi flavour, and of course, Halal menu! The decoration of the place is also so heartwarming and beautiful. The Iraqi vibes, vintage furniture, art, and traditional decorations really bring back memories of Iraq and reflect the authentic culture so nicely. Their lentil soup was so nice and creamy, and it was served complimentary with lemon and crispy fried bread pieces, which was a lovely touch. Their Ayran was also really refreshing, with a smoked flavour, and I loved that it is prepared in-house. I tried the mixed grill, and it was cooked really well. The meat was juicy, full of flavour, fully cooked, and not dry at all. It came with either rice or burgul, and I chose the rice, which was very good. My friends had the lamb Kuzi and they loved it. The lamb neck was roasted beautifully, and the meat was so soft and delicious. We also tried the yellow kubbeh, cheese burak, hummus, and tabbouleh, and we enjoyed everything. My only small suggestions would be to add a bit less onion and more burgul to the tabbouleh, and maybe serve the cheese burak without sumac on top, as I personally think it tastes better that way. Overall, amazing food, lovely presentation, beautiful atmosphere, and authentic Iraqi taste. I would definitely go back.
