I had a wonderful meal at Chegoya (チェゴヤ), located on the 10th floor of the Sapporo Tokyu Department Store. It’s a cosy and welcoming Korean restaurant, ideal for warming up after a day out in the city. I ordered the bibimbap, served in a hot stone bowl, and it was absolutely delicious. The rice was sizzling and crispy at the bottom, while the colourful vegetables, kimchi, and soft egg yolk mixed beautifully together. The gochujang sauce had just the right level of spice, and everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the service was quick even though the restaurant was quite busy. The menu had a good variety — from barbecue and hotpots to set meals — all looking tempting. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Korean flavours in Sapporo.
