Great service. Friendly staff. Pricey accommodation for what it is. Room 3 is on the main road.... VERY noisy. No air con, very small shower/toilet. Food is on the pricey side aswell. A small cooked breakfast is £14..... Good sized car park and nice beer garden.

This was our first visit to the Chequers Inn and we will definitely be coming back. From the warmth of the greeting, the easy charm of all the staff, to the truly excellent food, this place gets everything right. All the food is home made, even the ice-cream, and the chef and his team strike just the right balance between novelty and tradition. And from what we saw, it's all done with superb quality ingredients. An outstanding place to eat. Service: 5

Took all my family for lunch Saturday 12 Jan very disappointed with both the quality and the amount of food offered I had the belly of pork and found it comprises of three small squares of mostly pork fat,the people who had fish and chips said it tasted undercooked.the children all said they were hungry afterwards.I also thought the wine and soft drinks were exspensive.I will be coming again.
