Very disappointed. I visited at lunchtime today Wednesday 20th May, For a takeaway sandwich. I chose a white bread, cheese and ham sandwich. Photos below. This was the cheapest thinnest white sliced loaf I have ever , ever seen. The ham was not good quality and the cheese Was Spread thinly. It was then shoved into a bag that was far too small. For this privilege, I was charged £5. Will not be returning Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Sadly, we attended Eastbourne on 24/6/22 as a result of a funeral. Travelling from London we thought we would stop off nearby for a leg stretch and a coffee/cake break restbite beforehand. As we drove through Polegate we saw a friendly, open space "eaterie" by the name of the Cherry Tree Eatery. As we parked up we also noticed a big Costa Coffee establishment on the opposite side of the road. We decided to support local businesses and went for the local shop. What a delight..! The staff were friendly, attentive and more than anything the sausage sandiwich(es), the gigantic ice bun and the capucchinos/hot chocolates were the right tonic to prepare us for the days events. It was a perfect "stop off" just to lubricate the lungs and a welcome stop off. To anyone passing through Polegate, from a completely independent non bias reviewer this was a fantastic place to visit. Top marks..!
