My first time at a Chesa Nyama. The Garsfontein branch was relatively quite this Sunday afternoon.

Service was slow with somewhat inattentive staff.

We had the lamb chops, chicken wings and pap with relish. Everything was simply 'dumped' into one box. The sauces and flavours of the meats were mixed up.

The lamb chops were tasty and tender. Chicken wings were nice. Pap was smooth and nice. The relish did not taste good at all and may have been going off.

Can't say that I will be rushing back any time soon!

Friendly, professional and fast service. Food was cooked to perfection as one would traditionally on a fire. What a greay experience! Two thumbs up!

I really enjoy Chesa Nyama when I'm looking something affordable to eat that isn't your average McDonald's or KFC. Their portions are massive for a very low price - 1/2kg chips for only R17! And their food is very good. This time I tried one of their new burgers - a bacon and cheese burger. The patty was very juicy and done perfectly. I love that the kitchen plan is open so you can actually see that they are making your fresh food every time. This does mean that you wait a bit longer than at your average fast food place, but it's definitely worth it. Plus the staff at this outlet are always friendly.
