Our fave local pub from us and the kids. Even better now they serve rose prosecco! Great service great drinks and food! Always friendly lots of seating, just miss the benches on the grass area for next summer please - we love the sun! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £40–50

We had such a lovely breakfast at The Chestnut Tree in Finchfield. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and the food was excellent — a proper, hearty breakfast, cooked well and served with a smile. A special mention has to go to Claire, who looked after us brilliantly. She was so warm and patient with our son, taking the time to understand his needs and going out of her way to make sure he felt comfortable and included. That kind of empathy and care isn’t something you find everywhere, and it made a real difference to our whole experience as a family. It’s rare to come across staff who go the extra mile like that, and it didn’t go unnoticed. We’ll definitely be back for breakfast again — thank you, Claire and the team, for such a thoughtful and enjoyable visit!
