The service is inconsistent. Today, 18.09.26, three staff members were around, didn’t pay attention for a while, and then replied rudely. Things change when the manager is there

The smell of fresh bread reaches you before the door even shuts — warm, yeasty, doing most of the work before you've seen a single pastry. And the pastries themselves ask to be looked at: gleaming, precise, restrained in a way I didn't expect from something so indulgent. I've never called a croissant composed before. Bite in, and the shell shatters into something soft and faintly buttery underneath. I don't even like croissants, as a rule. This one made an exception of me. I asked for cinnamon in my latte, expecting the usual. What came was clove and nutmeg instead — a warmth that caught me behind the nose and pulled me, without warning, into December. We bought a loaf too large for two, and it was gone by evening, my daughter and I quietly working through it. If I have one complaint, it's wanting more kinds to choose from — the kind of complaint you make about a place you already love. What stays with me most is the staff, an ease and warmth that meets you at the door. It's a small bakery, but it holds more than bread and coffee — it's become the place in Moscow where something in me quietly settles. ☕️
