Nothing to complain about the cuisine, the starters, main courses and desserts were very good, we ate really well. The veal was excellent and cooked perfectly, well done to the chef. However, in terms of service, we had some somewhat limited comments when ordering. After asking if there was a children's menu (because nothing on the menu would please the 5 year old child) we were "reproached" for not having warned that a child was present and in a rather condescending tone that children usually take a dish à la carte (what 5-year-old child eats scallops or lobster?). We are also refused to allow the child to share a dish with his mother (you understand, we refused tables this evening because they were full, so 6 people = 6 place settings). We were finally offered a solution for the child because we were "lucky that the chef had prepared dishes for the other tables having warned that they were coming with a child". When the teenager at our table said that she would also be interested in this solution (black Angus steak + mash) your tone was condescending "but it's for children". A pregnant woman also at the table expresses that she does not want a dish because champagne is present in the sauce, yet another condescending tone to explain that pregnant women and children eat it all the time, because the alcohol evaporates after cooking (yes of course but I think that as an individual we still have the right to express reservations and say that we do not want this or that dish...). In short, the dishes are very good (and the child ultimately loved the alternative solution offered), but don't come with children or pregnant women who want to be careful about what they eat, you will be blamed. Kid-friendliness: Establishment not suitable for children, the atmosphere is very chic and there are no à la carte options for children. I leave few reviews on restaurants but I sincerely want to highlight the finesse of the dishes at "Chez Daniel's"! I enjoyed myself a little more with each bite. I highly recommend this address to all visitors to Troyes! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
