Chez Gaston, located behind the train rails in Saint-Raphaël, is a charming French establishment that offers delicious cuisine at a fair price. The interior design is quaint and cozy, with framed posters on the walls and a selection of wine bottles on display. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, thanks to the charismatic owner who greets guests with his own repertoire of animal noises.
The menu at Chez Gaston is small but well-crafted, with a focus on meat-centric dishes. The dishes are cooked from scratch using fresh ingredients, which is immediately apparent in the taste. The menu includes classic French dishes such as escargots, foie gras, and tournedos. The lamb shank is a standout dish, perfectly cooked and elegantly presented. The tuna carpaccio and scallops are also excellent options for starters.
The wine list at Chez Gaston is extensive, with a wide selection of local and international wines to suit all tastes and budgets. The owner is happy to recommend the perfect wine to accompany your meal, and the prices are reasonable. Cocktails and soft drinks are also available for those who prefer not to indulge in wine.
Overall, Chez Gaston is a must-visit fine dining spot for those looking for authentic French cuisine in Saint-Raphaël. The warm and friendly service, combined with the delicious food and extensive wine list, make this establishment a standout choice.

September 2024 Just across the street from the heart of town with all the restaurants, in this street you will find Chez Gaston. All made fresh in house all from local farmers and producers, ultra fresh. Nice wine list as well. Swift service and attending staff - sometimes have a little patience - can be busy especially when weather does not permit to sit outside. Real treat.
