The place was packed when we first arrived around 745pm. But the bartender cleared out a table for us :) The staff is always really friendly and sweet. We ordered a bunch of stuff and the food came out quickly. Everything was hot and delicious! We got chicken nanban, mentaiko pasta, kabocha and bacon, and poke. You can always count on Kenzo for a good time And if you're lucky, the guys at the next table will share their sake with you Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This review is all about Chez Kenzo's Okinawan connection! Did you know that Kenzo from Chez Kenzo Bar and Grill on King Street is from Ginowan, Okinawa? I sure as spit didn't. Had to ask when I saw Goya Champuru listed on the Happy Hour menu (5 pm to 7 pm) for $7. This Champuru has thinly sliced pork, bittermelon, egg, and tofu. Comparing it to the other champuru offerings on the island, I would describe this champuru as "wetter" than the champuru at Hide-Chan and Sunrise but not as wet as Utage. I thought it was good! Hoping Kenzo adds more Okinawan dishes to his already extensive menu! I have to add that service was excellent. Servers were friendly, efficient, and attentive.
