Neighborhood restaurant that I have frequented for years.... for their cheese naan. The other dishes are good but poorly thought out. Too little quantity for certain dishes and sometimes too spicy, the rice sold separately (!!!) and in far too large a quantity, too few vegetables or salad offered as an accompaniment or even not at all on the day of my visit. .. In short, a balanced diet has not yet arrived at Raja's even though Indian cuisine allows it. They also didn't think to translate the names of their dishes... which often annoys customers and waiters but not for the same reason! Nevertheless a good address. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Visiting Paris from NYC and craving quality Indian food, and Chez Raja delivered. Great food, family owned feel, personal service. Gave my 12 year old free cheese naan to try as he had never had it and was trying to decide which naan to get. Also walked him through the menu with really helpful recommendations and explanations. Gave the adults an after dinner brandy on the house and some advice on the neighborhood, knowing we had just arrived. Really a highlight from an amazing short 4 day trip. Zero stars. Google has the timings as
"opens at 6:30 PM" and we went in at
6:30 PM. Two guys seated us and gave us the menu. Any normal person would think that they would take the food order.
After waiting for 20 mins, confused and hungry I checked if they can take my order. One guy, who can barely even speak English, tells us that they'll tk the order only after 7:00 PM. Ridiculous. We asked him then why did he even seat us if they are not ready till 7:00 PM?
Another, an older guy walks in and says
"This is Paris and not your India". WTF. I am an Indian living in California and had never seen any Indian or in fact any other normal person saying this to a customer. And let me add something here: Your menu doesn't have even 3 curries in there. How in first place do u even call it an "INDIAN RESTAURANT"? AGAIN: ZERO STARS. Free advice for the rude old guy: You will remain a waiter for the rest of ur life
