Ok, but Disappointing Main Dishes for the Price Rating: / 5 Visited Chiang Rai Style Restaurant in Puchong for dinner with a group of three. Overall, the experience was quite average, and we left feeling it was a bit pricey for the quality of food served (total came to RM160.50). Here is the breakdown of what we ordered: 1) Red Snapper Ang Chor (RM61): This was the biggest disappointment. The fish didn't taste very fresh, and the texture was a bit too soft/mushy. 2) Green Curry Chicken (RM31): Unfortunately, this lacked the rich, aromatic punch you expect from Thai food. It honestly had barely any green curry taste at all. 3) Minced Pork w/ Century Egg (RM29): Just okay. There was nothing amazing or standout about it. 4) Stir-Fried Kangkung (RM15): Nicely cooked and seasoned fine. Summary: While the vegetable and minced pork dishes were acceptable, the main highlights—the fish and the curry—really missed the mark. Paying over RM160 for three pax at a casual spot feels a bit steep when the signature dishes don't deliver on flavor or freshness. Probably won't rush back. Taste is decent, not impressive. The fried paku vege is served with coils and stems fade to a pale yellow, dull grayish-green & woody stems. Fried egg is ok but a bit tasteless. The chef is stingy of the 'side' provided with the main course. For the stem fish, just a few pieces of white cabbages laid within it. It is just plain to eat the fish with the sauce alone. Seafood tomyam is served with miserable tiny small clams & crabs except with 2-3pcs of presentable prawns. Also, selection of the white rice grade is just like the mix rice store Price per person: RM 20–40 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
