After being loyal to my old favorite for years, I've officially found a new top spot for Thai food: Chiang Rai Thai Kitchen! What really sets this place apart is that incredible, authentic smoky flavor in their stir-fries—or as Uncle Roger would call it, that genuine wok hei. You can genuinely taste the high heat and skill in every bite, giving the dishes a depth of flavor that is so hard to find. Everything is fresh, aromatic, and cooked to absolute perfection. If you appreciate the art of a proper wok-tossed meal, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Easily my new go-to Thai restaurant! Just had lunch for a friend’s bday. It’s a party of 10 plus my table of four. The four of us went in 30 minutes later than the others and we ordered our mains while others are having their apps. We are the table of four with young children. Instead of giving our mains first, they served my friend’s table first (they ordered 10 minutes after us on the mains). Of course my kids are getting restless as food kept going to the other side. Long story short, they still charge my table of four 20% on gratuity even though I told them in advance that this table is separate from the rest of the party. The server never came to refill my glasses and I had to take away my own dirty dish. I do not grasp how they can have the audacity to ask for 20%! I am def not impressed. Never returning as there are better thai food with better service.
