Chicken Lips makes, hands down, the best wings in the greater Madison area. Choose between the dry rub, buffalo sauce, or original (both rub and sauce). Or order them "sexy" for a spicy surprise. You can also order plain wings if you hate flavor and being happy. Go with bleu cheese over ranch for dipping. Chicken Lips bleu cheese sauce is cool, creamy, and delicious beyond all mortal understanding. Not only does it improve any food it touches, it also comes in pints, which can be taken home to later be spooned directly into your face. Chicken Lips is cash only, so bring money, or be ready to pony up a $2 ATM fee. They also serve other bar food, and alcohols.

I couldn't pass up a chance to eat at a place called Chicken Lips. Having heard it was a dive bar in the middle of a corn field, I did not have real high expectations. Good thing, because the place is, in fact, a dive bar. Not super clean, but clean enough so that you don't have to worry. Staff and patrons were friendly. Had the feel of a neighborhood hangout. It was quite busy for a Monday night, but we found a table right away and ordered drinks and wings at the bar. No servers to take your order as they just serve the food. The wings are very good. I ordered the original which were fairly hot and very flavorful. The others ordered the hand rubbed which I found to be too mild. The wings were cooked well so the skin was crisp. I hate wings with rubbery/fatty skin, so these were exactly how I like mine cooked. The pub chips were tasty. The blue cheese which everyone raves about was a tad mild for me. Could've had a stronger blue cheese flavor. All in all, I enjoyed my experience at Chicken Lips!
