Extremely disappointed with this place. We ordered the Half & Half fried chicken, and almost every piece we received was made up of tiny scraps and edge pieces. There wasn’t a single drumstick in our order. The coating was thick, dry, and overly heavy, while the chicken itself had very little meat. It was honestly some of the worst Korean fried chicken we’ve had. While we were there, a filming crew was shooting promotional content for the restaurant. They ordered multiple boxes of fried chicken, and from what we saw, their boxes were filled with drumsticks and large, meaty pieces. In contrast, our order had none. As paying customers, it was hard not to feel like we were being served the leftovers while the best pieces were reserved for the advertisement. If you’re going to film promotional videos, regular customers deserve the same quality of food that’s being shown on camera. We paid full price and expected the same standard. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing, and we won’t be coming back. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40

Had an amazing experience at Chicko Chicken Markham! The Korean fried chicken was fresh, crispy, and packed with flavour. I went for the Soy Garlic and Yangnyeom options — both were absolutely delicious. The Soy Garlic had the perfect balance of sweet and savoury, while the Yangnyeom brought a rich spicy kick without being overpowering. The staff were welcoming and attentive, making the whole visit even better. Big thanks to Sai for helping with recommendations. Definitely coming back again! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
