My wife Torri, my mother-in-law Barbara, and I have officially decided that the Chili’s in Reno is no longer just a restaurant—it is a cross-dimensional sanctuary. We are convinced our two favorite servers, Jose and Marlene, actually escaped the Sanrio universe, stumbled into Northern Nevada, and decided the best way to blend in was to absolutely dominate the casual dining scene. Marlene is pure Hello Kitty energy. She greets us with the brightest, most genuinely sweet smile that instantly cures whatever bad day you’re having. She anticipates every single need before we even ask—extra ranch is already on the table, chips are magically refilled, and she manages the chaos of a busy dinner rush with the effortless grace of a cartoon icon. Then there’s Jose, who is 100% Kuromi. He’s got that signature mischievous, playful edge, cracking jokes and bringing a hilarious, high-energy attitude to the table. But don't let the cheeky vibe fool you—just like Kuromi, he is fiercely dedicated. The man went absolutely above and beyond for us, practically sprinting to the kitchen to make sure our food came out piping hot and exactly how we wanted it. The teamwork between these two is legendary. It’s like watching a pop-culture crossover episode happen right next to the soda fountain. Torri, Barbara, and I literally only come back to this location because of them. Chili’s corporate needs to give Jose and Marlene a raise, because they aren’t just serving Triple Dippers—they are serving pure magic! Late post from 5/14/26 We’ve recently had both lunch and dinner here, but I absolutely had to give a HUGE shout out to Tori for taking such amazing care of my son’s graduation group! From start to finish, she was fast, friendly, efficient, attentive, and so pleasant the entire time. Handling a large party of 10+ people is never easy, especially during busy hours, but Tori made it all look effortless. She stayed organized, upbeat, and on top of everything while making sure everyone in our group felt taken care of. The food runners were good, but Tori truly stood out and made the entire experience exceptional. Employees like her are the face of a business and a big reason customers return. She helped make our celebration even more enjoyable, and I sincerely appreciate her hard work and positive attitude! Thank you again, Tori! 5/6?/26 Late night stop at Chili’s and we were seated in the bar section where Austin F was working. We haven’t been in quite a while and noticed they have a new menu—so naturally, I had plenty of questions. Austin handled it all like a pro. He was calm, confident, and never once seemed bothered. He was not only friendly, but genuinely engaging and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Service like that stands out.
