Chillin Restaurant was honestly one of our favorite little hidden gems in Chiang Mai. We came in the middle of the afternoon when it was super quiet, and the entire vibe was so peaceful and relaxing. At night we always see this place completely packed, so it was actually really nice getting to enjoy it during the slower hours. The atmosphere is BEAUTIFUL — it genuinely feels like you’re sitting in a little garden oasis. There are tree branches wrapped overhead with leaves and flowers growing all around, and every detail makes the place feel cozy and magical. The owner and staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming, and the food came out within minutes. Super fast service without sacrificing quality at all. My friend ordered the pork pad thai and a banana smoothie, and he said it was the best smoothie he’s ever had. The flavors of the meal blended together perfectly and everything tasted so fresh and delicious. I ordered the vegetable fried rice, grilled cheese, and the Mango smoothie. The smoothie (they call it a shake) was PHENOMENAL. It was basically a smoothie — super creamy with the perfect consistency, topped with fresh fruit, and honestly one of the best mango smoothies I’ve had. The fried rice was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. Even the grilled cheese surprised me. I know grilled cheese isn’t traditionally a Thailand dish, but I love trying different versions of it, and theirs was really good. I think they added mayo with the cheddar cheese which gave it such a rich flavor and crispy texture. The prices were extremely reasonable, especially for the portion sizes and quality. Everything felt fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Highly, highly recommend Chillin if you’re in Chiang Mai. Such a cute small business with amazing food, kind people, chill vibes, and a beautiful atmosphere. Definitely a hidden gem. Service: 5
