They have oat milk! The chai tea latte was good. The staff is young, hipster types which is fine As I live in LA and this is typical. Staff is friendly but aloof track them down for service after you've ordered like most of Spain. The waiter took multiple breaks to skateboard. Hip hop music playing in the restaurant. Highly disappointed with the food though. I had the hamburger which tasted like frozen vegan burger from Boca or Gardenburger that they just heated up in microwave. I kept hearing a ding while sitting in cafe that thought it sounded like they were heating up food in toaster oven or microwave of some sort. I also have fries which were soggy and wet like cake from frozen. I tried the vegan mango cheesecake and it was kinda weird as well. It's hard to describe. This was my first stop after arriving in the city after traveling from Barcelona. I was hungry as it took me awhile to find the place on a small street just off Gran Via otherwise I probably would have left after viewing the limited menu.
I came here and tried a cappuccino with oat milk and the vegan tortilla. Both were so great! They use Oatly milk which is my favorite. The tortilla, made of garbanzo beans and potatoes, tasted surprisingly non-vegan and it was great. The atmosphere is cute, the menu is unique, the staff was so kind and helpful. I would definitely like to return and try a menu del día one day.
Such a nice place to get affordable vegan food. Yummy yummy food. English menus and the employees also speak English very well. Very close to everything else. WiFi and some outlets also. They don't seem to have a siesta, so if you're a foreigner like me who is not used to this afternoon break, you can come here to eat!
