Food is good overall. I would recommend the seafood curry laksa. But I don't really like the place.. Quite dirty, no ambience.. You should renovate the place..

Disappointing attitude. Myself and three others had lunch there recently and we ordered the saffron rice but we were told there was none available. We paid the bill and took the receipt only to realise later they charge us for the price of the saffron rice rather than the standard steam rice. We went back to the restaurant and mention we were overcharged they did refund the difference though they did not apologies for the mistake. You would think if they incorrectly charged the customer they would have at least apologize for the mistake and the inconvenience caused.

Great Place. I Tried Laksa for the very first time here at Chillipadi, hidden into part of Melbourne central. The taste was spicy, sour and balanced with a chunk of nice seafood, noodles, coconut milk, some vegies and a thick broth. I was very happy and would definitely go back to try other specialties of the restaurant.
