I visited Chimney Indian Restaurant in Rotorua hoping for authentic Indian cuisine, but it was a complete letdown. The food was bland, watery, and lacked any real flavor. Popular dishes like Butter Chicken, Paneer Makhani, and Biryani tasted cheap and reheated, and the rice seemed like it came straight from a packet. Portions were small and didn’t justify the price. On top of that, the customer service was slow and unhelpful. The staff seemed uninterested and didn’t address complaints properly. Even when I tried to point out the problems with the food, no apology or solution was offered. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Rotorua. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for decent Indian food or good service. A total waste of money and time.
