On the right, a coda di aragosta (lobster tail pastry) is filled with pistachio cream—its fluted shell crisps into fine shards, contrasting with the nutty, soft interior. On the left, not a classic sfogliatella, but a fagottino di sfoglia alla crema: a triangular puff pastry, oven-split at the seam, its centre filled with custard cream. Both rest on golden foil, a subtle nod to the elegance of even humble Roman fare. The cappuccino is well-executed: dense microfoam, a clean crema ring, and no visible curdling—signs of fresh milk, proper temperature, and good emulsification.
