Yummy chai based drinks. Great atmosphere on a rainy night with the trains going by overhead and the laid back music. Only con is that I didn't see a restroom anywhere. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000

Quite the popular spot, though I can’t really see why. The strike mountain chai latte had a nice kick to it, but it overall tasted a bit watered down, like the flavors weren’t robust enough. The spiced nuts and rice donut on the side were pretty good though. If you’d like to dine in, there is no option to just get drinks, as all the menu are made in sets with their snack food. The space is a bit cramped and most guests are there to chat, so this is not the place if you’re looking for some peace and quiet. I think it’s worth stopping by if you’re in the area and it’s not crowded, but if there’s a queue, you won’t be missing out on much if you skipped it.

Chiyaba was long on our visit list when it opened in 2022, but alas covid wouldn’t agreed to our travel plans. 3 years later, we arrived to this charming and charismatic space with a sleeping toddler, quite worried about his admission since we have a stroller on hand. But any reservation that we had was quickly put to ease when we were warmly invited by the tending staff who spoke perfect english to let ourselves be at our own comfort inside. It was inviting. We were surrounded by an alluring scent of spices that was playing softly in the background. Enough to be noticed, but not overwhelmingly attention seeking. The host introduced to us the menu and recommendation based on our preferences. The drinks were crafted in front of us and brewed to perfection - both hot and cold. The experience was a big highlight of our trip in Tokyo. We want to specially thank the shop manager who gifted us with such a hospitable stay and memorable servings of chai. Arigato gozaimasu.
