I can’t not dine at this restaurant and don’t write again a review. Every time I visit Tokyo, dining at Chodo restaurant is a must. Located conveniently near the Kamata area, it’s the perfect spot for me to stay at a nearby hotel and take a leisurely walk to this amazing culinary haven. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with warmth and hospitality. The chef-owner is not only incredibly knowledgeable about food but also treats every guest like an old friend. Dining at Chodo feels less like a formal experience and more like sharing a meal with close companions. The food? Simply outstanding. Every dish is made with the freshest ingredients and an incredible attention to detail. Each visit has been a five-star experience, and the consistency in flavor and quality is remarkable. Whether it’s sashimi, tempura, or any seasonal specialties, the flavors always leave me speechless. The floor staff are equally impressive—friendly, polite, and intuitive. They ensure you feel comfortable and cared for throughout your meal, elevating the dining experience even further. And let’s not forget their sake selection! Chodo offers a fantastic variety of sake to complement the dishes, making the meal complete. If you’re in Tokyo, especially around Kamata, Chodo is a must-visit. Thank you to the team at Chodo for consistently delivering such memorable dining experiences. I can’t wait to return! I recently visited this exceptional Japanese restaurant, and it was a truly memorable experience. The host, who is also the chef, made me feel so welcome—like I was a guest in his home. His warmth and genuine hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. The floor staff are just as wonderful—friendly, attentive, and always ensuring you feel comfortable. The food deserves every bit of praise. The fish and vegetables are incredibly fresh, with the sashimi menu changing daily based on the chef’s catch. The Kyoto vegetables are a standout—so flavorful and perfectly prepared. What surprised me most was the reasonable pricing for such high-quality food and exceptional service. Every dish is crafted with care, making this place an absolute gem. I highly recommend it! I can’t recommend it enough! A must try.
