Absolutely amazing. I'm literally struggling to know what to write because the food is so overwhelmingly remarkable. Completely family run (Hokkaido family). All the family are INCREDIBLY kind and helpful, gentle people. The base quality of ingredients is ultimate, the technique is ultimate, the service is like your grandmother, the atmosphere is the dream of an Izakaya. I only write reviews about the very very best places of the vast number of joints I've visited, and usually I write a lot, helpful tips, descriptions, etc, but I am speechless here. It's basically "the perfect Izakaya in Tokyo". Thank God I came to visit the botanic gardens (an unknown gem of Tokyo) and stumbled on to Chokoya. Thanks, family! NOT YET DISCOVERED BY SOCIAL MEDIA INSANITY, THANK GOD. PRAY THAT NO "INFLUENCERS" DISCOVER THIS PLACE. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
