We enjoyed a wonderful late lunch with visiting family. The food was excellent, as always, and the wait staff were very attentive. We were first seated on the patio but the weather wasn't cooperating. The staff quickly moved us inside and didn't skip a beat. Chop House is a definite favorite! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee, Chop House Braised Lamb Shank, Pork Ribeye, Prime Rib Sandwich, Beefsteak Tomato & Burrata

We have been to the Chop House at Lake Sumter a couple of times. The first time was for our anniversary in May 2020 and at the time we were not impressed with the service nor the food and thought it was very expensive and not worth a second visit. Fast forward to May 2023 and our friend invited us with 2 other couples. The waitress was amazing and very attentive. The drinks, appetizers and main course was served with no issues. The food was not so good. Brussels sprouts soggy, steaks were bland, onion soup- soup of the day, must have been sitting under the heat lamp for a while. This will be our last visit. When you are a higher end restaurant you expect to have a top-notch meal.

I last time I went there I placed my order and said to the server can you also add garlic the server came back and said the cook said he has to charge 1 dollar extra canceled my order and went to Prima
