Ignore other places, discover the Mexican menu at this restaurant. A lot of reviewers mention that you can have tasty stewed steaks, grilled beef and roasted meat here. I spent most of my life in a small town in Arizona at the tip of the Sonoran Desert. I just ate the most authentic Mexican Street Tacos and rice in Sunriver, Oregon at Chulitas in The Commons. The meat is tender, each marinated for a long time in its unique blend of seasoning. The chicken is chopped like the carne asada. The slow cooked carnitas is perfection. Each strand of meat hosts enormous flavor. The corn tortillas are perfectly grilled, preventing “blow outs”. Perfect salsas both green and red add flavor and zest with the right amount of heat so as not to spoil the flavors of the meats. Each taco is topped with a masterful amount of onion and cilantro. The rice cannot be ignored. It is authentic Sonoran rice, the recipe from every respected household. Cooked to perfection it is firm, lightly flavored and does not host pesky carrots and peas which belong nowhere in Sonora! Thank you for an amazing lunch! Yasss! This place is awesome. Good customer service, the Brussel Bowl... omg.. YUM!! Worth every dollar and hands down, the BEST food truck in the group, in Sunriver. Good job, Chulitas. Nailed it.
