On Saturday, 20 Apr 24 I had lunch at Chung Gi Wa with my family. From the moment we arrived, the waiter was not friendly at all. When I ordered, we ordered 3 portions of meat and kimchi jigae and rice. The waiter immediately said that the meat could not be cooked at the table because ONLY ordered 3 portions of meat. I agree if that is the restaurant's policy. However, while we were eating, I saw near my table there was another guest (Korean nationality) who also ONLY ordered 3 portions of meat and it could be cooked at the table by the waiter. (noted: in Chung Gi Wa usually the meat can be cooked by the waiter at the customer's table). I also asked this to the manager/owner who was there and it was explained that the minimum purchase of meat is 3 portions if you want to cook it at the table When the manager and I asked the waiter who was serving our table, the waiter lied and said because it was busy at that time even though the waiter clearly told us that because we ONLY ordered 3 portions of meat, the waiter couldn't cook it and had to cook it ourselves. If you eat alone, best to avoid this restaurant. Is it because I only ordered Dolsot Bibimbap? Or is it because I’m alone? There are 2 tables who came after me. And even then their orders came first. Each of those 2 tables have 2 people. Their reasoning as to why my orders came late is because they are currently busy. Still does not explain why the orders from those 2 tables arrive much earlier than mine (I counted: I waited in total for 37 minutes). 1 star. Zero if I could.
