Some of the reviews on here are ridiculous. This is easily the most authentic Korean BBQ place in Cincinnati. Is it the best Korean BBQ place I've ever had? No, of course not. But, we live in Cincinnati, folks. Slim pickins. Yes, it's a bit pricy, but again ... slim pickins. For what it is, I'm happy. The meat is fresh and tasty, the side dishes are fresh and tasty. And the hole-in-the-vibe ambience is fine too. I leave this place smelling like glorious Korean BBQ from head to toe and the first thing I do when I get home is hop in the shower and throw my clothes in the laundry - as it should be when you go to a good Korean BBQ place! And for those complaining about the North Korean flag? What exactly are you complaining about? You do realize you live in a country that values freedom of expression, probably more than any other country on this planet. Worth thinking hard about that one, huh?

I rather enjoyed this place. I thought the food was all really tasty and fresh and the service was good, a bit slow though to get setup (We probably waited 10 minutes before someone stopped at our table). For a Meat heavy all you can eat place I didn't think the price was unreasonable, maybe a little bit too high. I can put away a lot of food though so I get my money's worth. If they de-cluttered the bar and cleaned it up a bit I would go 5 stars.

For $40 per person, you'd expect more meat options or side dishes, but Chung Kiwha had neither. And the ones they had were nothing special (bulgogi, spicy chicken, pork belly, and marinated short steaks). Marinated short steaks were pretty decent, to be honest, which is why this restaurant gets a 3-star rating. However, the issue I had with this place is not so much with the food, but the atmosphere. North Korean Flag was hanging on one of the walls, with a framed picture of Kim Il-Sung (former dictator of DPR Korea). I mean what the actual fuck? I couldn't care less if it were flags of some other countries or other political leaders, but this was another level of WTF moment.
