For some reason, it's pretty hard to find an authentic good French restaurant in LA, especially when you're French. So I was truly amazed by my experience at the new Church & State. My friend and I shared a cheese plate to begin with, they had a selection of 4 cheeses from France, the baguette and butter was to die for. Then we had the steak and bone marrow and the stewed lamb, super tender and flavorful, the smashed potatoes where super crispy, so good too! Last but not least we had the soufflé for desert (you have to order it!) and a tarte tatin that reminded me the taste of my childhood. Chef David was so nice, he chatted with us at the table. My new spot when taking friends out for dinner!
