I picked this restaurant for my birthday dinner for no reasons other than I wanted Taiwanese Food, I wanted to try a new restaurant, and this was close by. When we arrived, I really thought I made a mistake. This is a tiny hole in the wall place that really looked kind of sketchy. I tried it against my better judgment, and the food was Da Bomb! So good! They have authentic Taiwanese food with authentic Taiwanese drinks. I had a lot of delicious and hard to find Taiwanese dishes that are not your typical popcorn chicken or stinky tofu that everyone knows. I highly recommend. I brought a bunch of none Asian friends and they loved the place too.

I have come to this locally run restaurant many times now and their food has always been consistent and cooked on time for pickup or dining in. Prices are still reasonable here and it will feed you for multiple meals for the week. My favorites here are the braised pork belly with tofu, the garlic eggplant and also now the cumin beef is very tasty. Their beef noodle soup and dumplings are also solid and will fill you up. I'm definitely a fan of the braised or stir fried dishes here. I have yet to try some of the preserves items here, but I will in the future. After three visits here, I feel like I can give a good review of the menu. Cindy's Kitchen is a hole in the wall that only seats about 18 people so it looks like some regulars opt to order food to go. They have a wide variety of options from noodle dishes to stir fry dishes to rice bowl options so there's something for everyone. They also make/sell frozen XLB, wontons, buns and dumplings which I've not tried. Unfortunately, they don't sell XLB for dine in customers but they do offer dumplings and wontons. Beyond all this, they have many cold dishes at the deli counter and most of these are pretty good so they can compliment the stir fry dishes. As other have noted, they only have 1 person in the front of house so service may be slower. I think there's only 2 people in the kitchen. In my three dinner visits, I only saw one non-Chinese speaking table so I have no idea how well the waitress can communicate in English but there is English on the menu as well as on all the signs for the sides and frozen foods for sale. Parking lot isn't big but if you come for dinner, the other businesses may be closed which helps. Check out my pics including the menu.
