I’ve worked and lived on both sides of the River Liffey since I moved to Dublin a little over ten years ago. I’ve lived on the north side and worked on the south, I’ve lived on the south side and worked on the north. It has been and still is a great way to get to know Dublin City or Town, depending on your preference, and what it has to offer, whether it’s a food store, clothes shop, gallery or urban space.

I booked a table for Valentine’s Day for me and my girlfriend. They tried to ring me during work a few days prior to confirm the table. I rang in the same day after work but the reception said to ring in the next day because there’s no one taking calls at the lounge this late. This is exactly what I done, I called in the next day at 1 pm and they said everything was good with the booking. Next day I confirmed my attendance on open table too! 20 minutes before arrival I even called to say I might be 5 minutes late, where they responded “no problem, see you soon”. I get there and a server told us they tried to confirm our booking but we didn’t answer, I explained that I rang in the next day and got verbal confirmation. Then she tried to convince us that we rang into the Belfast branch which was not the type of way she should have went about it. Moral of the story we got some seats that were for walk-ins and I do not recommend this restaurant unless they change their communications. I would like to mention that they didn’t take my name when I called in to confirm the table, they simply asked for the time and said everything was good. Sounds like staff neglecting small work responsibilities causing big burdens for customers on important days. Not acceptable, will not be returning.
