This bar and Park Central Square can be both really attractive for tourists. Take your colleagues with you and eat nicely cooked fish sandwiches, belly pork and tacos. Trying good waffles, vanilla ice cream and beignets is what many visitors recommend. Civil Kitchen has delicious draft beer, bourbon or wine among its drinks. Great ice tea, coffee or lemonade will make your meal better and you'll surely come back.
Choose between indoor and outdoor seating. Most people note that the staff is competent at this place. This place is notable for its cool service. From the guests' viewpoint, prices are fair. You will appreciate the homey decor and spectacular atmosphere of this spot. This bar scored 4.4 in the Google rating system.

so sad to have to write this review because we love civil kitchen :( we were here visiting and we were told by the hostess @ 10pm that she couldn't seat us because they closed at 11pm yet the door AND website both say 12am. Regardless, it was only 10pm and there were many tables available throughout the restaurant. After telling her how we had called ahead and had been told to walk in to be seated, she slammed our silverware down on two tables and sat us. We ordered quickly as soon as our waitress took our orders. It was such a weird encounter/behavior and sad that this location would rather turn customers away an hour before closing and treating us like less than none. Yikes not a good look

The food was ok but did not like the staff and made you feel uncomfortable. The chicken and donuts was not good at all but other items were ok. Its a neat place but the staff is some of the worst I have ever seen. I suggest to pick someplace else
