Such a great find in Richlands. While my wife is originally from Richlands, we don't get back very often. We were in town because a family member moved back into town and we were celebrating their son's birthday. We were looking for a close place to eat and didn't want that out. Yelp directed us to Coaltown Taps. What a great spot. The food was great! After a recommendation from our server and seeing some things come out of the kitchen, we all actually settled on the same thing. The Bang Your Head Chicken Sandwich was a huge hit! The chicken breast were juicy and the bacon was crisp. It had a ton of flavor. As good as the sandwich was, the sweet potato fries were even better. Their honey sriracha sauce was amazing! Their tap list was ok, but the food was the star of the show. We sat inside, but there was plenty of room outside with picnic tables, umbrellas, and cornhole. We also wanted to mention our server, Savannah. She was attentive and offered great insight into the menu with us being first-timers. We think the 1 year old in our party has a new girlfriend. She was great with him. One tiny side note; having at least one high top high chair would be perfect. Due to the available seating for our party of 6, we ended up at a high top. It wasn't the end of the world and didn't detract from our experience. Just gave the boy some extra cuddle time with the fam. We have found a hit in Richlands. Need live music, trivia, or karaoke?
