Try nicely cooked oysters, tuna and smoked salmon at this restaurant. Here you may drink delicious coffee. Coastal Seafoods is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Also, guests recommend this place because of adequate prices.

There really aren't alternatives to Coastal Seafoods. It is the premier place to buy fresh fish. But my wife ordered lobsters in advance for a big birthday (mine) and the Minneapolis location didn't get them. The guy in charge refused to contact St Paul location even though we were willing to drive go pick up. We called St Paul repeatedly and they never picked up (Thursday 5/23). Ended up with Alaskan king crab that was very fishy and mediocre. They are better than the alternatives because... there are no alternatives.

IMHO We needed to find oysters for grandpa and discovered Coastal Seafoods. When you walk through the doors, you enter a bright world of seafood offerings from fresh fish to canned sardines, condiments, breads, oyster shuckers, etc. Oh, and there is a corner cafe in the back to order specialized fish sandwiches and other yummy things. If we hadn't already eaten a big lunch, I'd have loved to order some fish 'n chips! I'm a photo hobbyist and was a visitor to the area, so I was taking pictures to share on this Yelp review. There was no issue until one young employee showed his displeasure. Sorry. If you need fresh seafood and a wide variety, get thee to Coastal Seafoods! I'm sure you'll find almost anything you need.

Do you love all things fish and seafood? Then head directly to Coastal Seafoods! They have the best fish counter in the Twin Cities, bar none, and the best staff as well. If the quality is questionable, they won't sell it. My haul yesterday included three kinds of fresh oysters, Dover sole, Chilean sea bass, various tinned fish, seafood, and pates, plus lobster rolls from their on-site cafe. You'll find any sundries you'll need to accompany your fabulous fish, including fresh herbs and spice blends. Need one-stop shopping and have a sweet tooth? Their freezer case has you covered for top-shelf desserts. Be sure to check out their daily discounts before you go -- Friday is Educators' Day, for example.
